The newly onboarded worker struggles to complete a specific activity without support, risking decreased productivity, increased frustration, unsafe conditions, and rising business costs.
Problems
High Turnover Rates for New Employees
More and more new hires for this company would only stick around for roughly one or two months. By the time employees would start getting the hang of their job - they would be putting in notice to leave the company. A lot of the individuals that would get hired for these positions would be looking at this role as temporary.
Difficulty Tracking Training & Up-skilling Progress
Whenever employees were looking to excel to the next level - they would have no way to show their interest in learning new skills. Not only that, but they would need to wait for a manager to support their continued learning. This could take a really long time, especially if they were not on the same shift or managers had other important tasks to attend to during this time.
New Employees Can't Get Proper Training
Training for staff included watching a week's worth of video training content in a back room before getting sent to the floor. Most new hires would have trouble retaining the information learned and would find themselves still reaching out with a bunch of questions after completing all of the training given during week 1.
